Care & Repair
Sorellina covers all repairs within a year of purchase due to manufacturing defects. However, we determine the right to determine what is a manufacturing defect before making that call. We do not cover repairs for damage that is a result of improper care and use. See below for proper care of your piece. We also do not cover repairs for normal ware and tear. In these cases, we would be happy to repair at a fee.
Please email orders@sorellinanyc.com to inquire and include a photo and explanation of the issue.
18k Gold Care Tips
18k gold is naturally tarnish resistant, but can lose luster over time. To maintain shine, routinely wipe your jewelry with a very soft cloth.
To clean your jewelry, soak it in warm water with a little diluted dish soap and use a soft-bristle toothbrush to remove any dirt.
After cleaning, pat-dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners. Some at-home jewelry cleaners, steamers or ultrasonic machines can do more harm than good.
Black Rhodium Care Tips
Like any added finish, it will fade over time and with wear, especially in areas that come into consistent contact with your skin.
Remove your jewelry at night.
Salt, chlorine and other solutions can damage this finish, so please remove your jewelry with black rhodium before bathing, swimming or washing your hands.
Diamonds & Translucent Gemstones Care Tips
(such as topaz, sapphire, or citrine)
To clean your jewelry, soak it in a bowl of water with a small amount of diluted dish soap.
If needed, remove dirt around and behind the stone using a soft-bristle toothbrush.
Place jewelry in a strainer and rinse before thoroughly drying with a soft, lint-free cloth.
For diamonds, rubies or sapphires set in gold, rinse the jewelry with a drop of ammonia added to water.
Do not use ammonia on other gemstones since it can discolor and damage these materials.
Opaque Gemstones Care Tips
(such as opals, malachite, and lapis lazuli)
Never use an ultrasonic cleaner or cleaning chemicals such as bleach or ammonia on opaque gemstones.
Opaque gemstones should only be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Avoid contact with hair sprays, lotions or perfumes since the chemicals can be absorbed over time and cause discoloration.
Please remove jewelry before exercising.
Pearls Care Tips
The best way to maintain your pearls’ luster is to wear them often. The body’s natural oils help maintain their beauty.
Please keep your pearls away from perfumes, cosmetics, perspiration, chlorine, salt water, vinegar, ammonia or dirt.
Gently wipe pearls with a slightly damp cloth after wearing them.
Never wash pearls with an ultrasonic cleaner.
Wash your pearls periodically with mild soap (not detergent) and a soft cloth. Rinse them in clean water and wrap them with a thin, damp cloth to dry them.
Remove your jewelry before exercising.
Turquoise Care Tips
Please keep turquoise away from perfumes, household cleaners, chlorine (remove jewelry before swimming in chlorinated pools) or cosmetics as the chemicals in these items can affect the quality and appearance of your jewelry.
Turquoise is a softer stone, so avoid impact with hard surfaces and wear your piece with care.
